At NLCC Achilles and the Guelph Branch of the Navy League, we run an incredible, program for youth—but we can’t do it alone. It takes a dedicated crew behind the scenes and on the deck to keep our ship sailing smoothly.

Whether you want to work directly with our cadets or prefer to support us from behind the scenes, we have a place for you!

Choose Your Role: Two Ways to Make a Splash

We are always on the lookout for passionate individuals to join us in two key areas:

1. Join the Branch (Background & Administrative Support)

If you prefer to keep your feet on solid ground, our Branch needs your organizational talents! This is perfect for parents, community members, or professionals looking to lend their expertise.

• Roles include: Fundraising coordination, public relations, event planning, treasury support, and general administration.

• Commitment: Flexible, behind-the-scenes support that keeps our branch running seamlessly. Meets once a month.

2. Work with the Cadets (Leaders & Instructors)

Do you love mentoring youth and teaching new skills? Join our uniformed or civilian instructor team to work directly with the cadets during our weekly training nights and weekend events.

• Roles include: Teaching seamanship, leadership, outdoor survival, sports, citizenship, and drill.

• Commitment: Regular attendance on training nights and a passion for mentoring youth aged 9 to 12.

• Note: No prior military or naval background is required! We will provide you with all the training you need.
